# Working hours, exceptions and time off

Zitli only offers your clients times that fall within your working hours and are free in your connected calendar.

## Setting your working hours

1. Open **Availability**.
2. Select a schedule (or create a new one).
3. Set when you work for each weekday. You can enter several blocks of time per day (e.g. 08:00–12:00 and 13:30–17:00).
4. Check the schedule's **time zone**.

You can have several schedules, for example one for online appointments and one for Saturday mornings at your practice. You decide which schedule applies for each event type. One of them is your default.

## Exceptions on specific days

If you work differently on a particular date, add an entry under **Availability › Date overrides**: different hours, or unavailable for the whole day.

## Holidays and time off

For several consecutive days (holidays, training), enter a period under **Settings › Out of office**. No one can book during that time.

You do **not** need to enter public holidays there: Zitli blocks your canton's public holidays automatically (see «Block cantonal holidays automatically»).

## Buffers and notice period

For each event type, under **Limits**:

- **Buffer time** before or after an appointment, so that nothing is scheduled back-to-back
- **Minimum notice**, e.g. at least 24 hours before the appointment
- **Booking window**, e.g. at most 60 days in advance
- **Maximum bookings** per day or week

## Week and time format

You can change the start of the week (Monday), the 24-hour format and the time zone under **Settings › General**.
