# Create and customise event types

An event type (shown in the app under «Event types») is a bookable offer, for example «Initial consultation, 30 minutes» or «Therapy session, 50 minutes». Each event type has its own link.

## Creating a new event type

1. Open **Event types** and click **New** at the top right.
2. Enter a title, the end of the link (e.g. `/initial-consultation`), a description and the duration.
3. Save. You can then adjust the details.

## What you can set

- **Location:** Google Meet, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, phone, your in-person address or a custom link
- **Booking questions:** additional fields that clients fill in when booking (e.g. phone number, reason for the appointment)
- **Availability:** which working-hours schedule applies to this event type
- **Limits:** buffer time before and after the appointment, minimum notice, how far in advance bookings can be made, maximum number of bookings per day
- **Advanced:** «Requires confirmation» (you confirm every request yourself), reminder email to clients with your own note
- **Recurring event:** clients book a series (e.g. weekly) in one step. Individual appointments in the series can be rescheduled or cancelled.
- **Payment:** a price at booking (Pro only, see «Accept payments at booking (Pro)»)

## Hiding, duplicating and deleting an event type

In the menu (three dots) next to the event type:

- **Hide from profile:** the event type no longer appears on your booking page but can still be booked via its direct link.
- **Duplicate:** creates a copy, useful for variants with a different duration.
- **Delete:** removes the event type. Appointments that are already booked remain in place.

## Free and Pro

On the **Free** plan, **one event type** can be booked. With **Pro** (and during the 14-day trial), you can have as many as you like.

If your account switches to Free after the trial, nothing is deleted. Other event types stay saved but cannot be booked until you upgrade to Pro. Clients then see: «This appointment cannot be booked online at the moment. Please contact the organiser directly.»
